Hello, I'm Rachael. I write and lead Humanist wedding and naming ceremonies for couples and families right across Yorkshire and the wider North of England, from historic city venues to castles, abbeys, moorland crags, and everything in between.
Trained and accredited with Humanists UK, I've spent six years building a reputation as one of the region's leading Humanist celebrants, having led over 60 wedding ceremonies to date. I now also mentor trainee celebrants coming up through the profession, sharing what I've learned about writing and delivering a ceremony that genuinely holds a room.
Every ceremony I write starts from scratch, built from your story, your values, and your people, because no two couples or families I work with are ever the same.
I'm proud to offer inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming ceremonies, and whether you're marrying in a Georgian drawing room or under canvas on open moorland, I bring the same care to every word.

Beyond Yorkshire
While Yorkshire is home, I also travel further afield across the North of England for couples and families who'd like me as their celebrant, wherever your venue happens to be. I love conducting ceremonies in my native Cumbria, especially in the beautiful Lake District, and I’ve been known to lead ceremonies in the Peak District too. Sometimes I’ve even worked in Scotland, where Humanist wedding ceremonies are legally recognised.
